RV Parks

Canyon Creek

Canyon Creek is a membership park about 45 minutes west of Sacramento, Ca. It is right on the banks of Putah Creek which comes from the dam at Lake Berryessa. Nice park but it’s first come and with some sites having 50/water/sewer – 30/water/sewer and some 30/water it was difficult to find a site.

The park is half on one side of the road and half on the other. They even have a pizza oven! Be aware, NO cell service, TV and WiFi is $6.00 per dayIMG_0868

REDWOOD RIVER RESORT AND CAMPGROUND – Legget, Ca.

redwood river rv resortLocated just outside Leggett, California this is a Good neighbor Park and can be reserved through Coast to Coast. This park is right on CA 101 across the highway from the famous “Confusion Hill” and is also just south of Garberville. The sites around the perimeter have a good amount of room, the ones in the center are sort of pull through but are not really separated by much. Laundry rooms were great and bathrooms ok. The roads are narrow, unpaved and rutted. Great little trail to the Salmon River from the park. No cell phone, wifi or cable.

BAYSIDE RV RESORT – Crescent City, Ca.

IMG_1027 (Small)Your typical “parking lot” with rows of sites. Can be pull through or back-in sites. Good wifi, cell phone and TV. Laundry is ok but didn’t use the shower or bathroom. Good location for visiting Jedediah State Redwood Park and Trees of Mystery and  is next to the harbor where fishing and pleasure boats have slips. We weren’t to thrilled when we got there but after a short time it kind of grows on you.
